Strategic Capital Partners was formed in 2005, led by former Duke Realty (NYSE: DRE) executives, Gene Zink and Rich Horn, who have acquired and developed commercial projects together for over 30 years and have nearly $15 billion of experience in developing, acquiring, managing, redeveloping and disposing of institutional quality commercial and apartment projects. Additionally, several other SCP professionals also worked at Duke prior to joining the firm and have market experience in Duke’s former portfolio locations, many of which translated into current SCP target markets. SCP focuses on acquisitions and development of office, industrial, and mixed-use assets located in prime in-fill locations within high growth markets such as Raleigh, Charlotte, Nashville, Indianapolis and Northern Virginia. SCP provides value added solutions to tenants and investors, and has decades of experience in speculative, build-to-suit and project master-planning execution.

While at Berkshire, the Broadview team formed a partnership with the principals of SCP in 2015 to provide GP equity and fund pre-development costs for a series of industrial and office development projects and acquisitions.  See Case Studies for additional information.  In 2019, Broadview established a partnership with SCP to provide GP equity on industrial projects.
